Hilderstone – a village to be proud of
Hilderstone is a small rural village in the heart of Staffordshire. It is situated between the county town of Stafford and the city of Stoke-on-Trent, about 5 miles from Stone.
The village has a long history and was mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. The current village contains homes ranging from 18th century farm cottages to modern executive housing.
In more recent times the village has been running various initiatives to strengthen the community by running activities such as Scarecrow Weekends, Summer Fairs and Christmas Parties for the village. The village has won Highly Commended awards for Best Kept Village and coming Second in its group in 2012.
